On November 15, 2024, BTS' Kim Seok-jin dropped the official music video for Running Wild, which is the lead single from his latest solo album, Happy. The Grammy-nominated musician held a live broadcast titled "Jin Comeback Live: What is 'Happy'?" on Weverse on the same day of his album release.
He played the Running Wild music video during his livestream and revealed several behind-the-scenes details regarding its filming. He added that originally he had decided to die at the end of the Running Wild storyline, as the MV shows a world that is getting struck by a meteorite. However, he changed his mind after thinking that his fans would get upset with the ending.
Fans were moved by the BTS idol's thoughtful gesture. A fan jokingly thanked him for "not pulling a Taehyung" on them, referencing how BTS' Taehyung always dies at the end of his projects like Love wins all, FRI(END)S, HYYH storyline, and more. One fan tweeted:
"Thank you for not pulling Taehyung. I was not ready to get traumatized."
The BTS ARMY flooded social media, hilariously calling out Kim Taehyung of BTS and asking him to "learn something" from BTS' Jin.
""But I thought, if I die, ARMY would feel sad." LEARN SOMETHING, KIM TAEHYUNG!!!!" one fan wrote.
"Kim Taehyung are you listening??" another fan commented.
"Really very, very relieved they added the movie at the end. The sentiment of being together at the end is moving and meaningful, but let's have many more days together, as many as possible," another fan added.
Others highlighted how the Running Wild singer-songwriter "is too good for this world" since he changed his MV script for his fans.
""army would feel sad"..... Don't touch me rn, JIN is too good for this world," one fan remarked.
"This is a man who knows the trauma we have because of hyyh," another fan said.
"Everyone's love for tragedy and tragic ending in that BigHit building needs to be studied. We have been seeing tragedy since HYYH & BU We need happy endings please and THANK YOU SO MUCH JIN FOR BEING SO THOUGHTFUL," another fan wrote.
