On July 19, 2024, BTS member and vocalist Jimin released his second solo album, MUSE. On the same day, the South Korean media outlet STAR NEWS published a brief interview with Pdogg, the main producer of Jimin's solo albums.
According to STAR NEWS, Pdogg commended Jimin, highlighting his admirable work ethic. Pdogg also remarked that after finishing work on his debut album FACE, they immediately began working on MUSE, noting Jimin's dedication towards his work before his military enlistment.
He expressed his appreciation for the artist's hard work, stating that it has contributed to a noticeable growth in his musical journey. He said:
"After finishing work on the 'FACE' album, we went straight into the production of 'MUSE' and I thought, 'He's working this hard before his military enlistment?' Thanks to Jimin's hard work, you'll be able to see his musical journey, which has grown even more."
For the unversed, Pdogg, whose real name is Kang Hyo-won, is a South Korean record producer and songwriter for Big Hit Music who has worked closely with BTS both as a group and in the members' solo projects.

BTS' producer Pdogg shares behind-the-scenes insights on Jimin's work on MUSE
Pdogg also shared some interesting insights about creating the title track Who. He mentioned how they worked on the song with a Grammy-nominated songwriter, Jon Bellion, in New York who had previously worked with artists like Justin Beiber and Lizzo.
During the process, the Filter singer personally explained the theme he wanted to convey, which made him feel a bit shy. Pdogg also talked about a memorable moment when he ran into the talk show host, Jimmy Fallon, at a neighboring studio and played the newly finished song for him. He said:
"We made it with Jon Bellion in New York. I remember Jimin personally explaining to Jon Bellion what story he wanted to tell, and he was really embarrassed."
Meanwhile, the BTS member is scheduled to perform Who on NBC's 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on July 23 at 12:35 pm (Korean time).
He also suggested that listeners pay attention to the track order, as it reflects the flow of emotions, making the listening experience more enjoyable.
Pdogg highlighted the significance of capturing the idol's emotions in the music. He noted that working in Los Angeles added a positive energy to the songs, influenced by the city's vibe.
Furthermore, the producer also shared that the album was inspired by conceptual albums like the legendary Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."
The latest album features seven tracks, the title track Who, Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson), Be Mine, and Closer Than This.
