On Monday, August 26, 2024, BTS' Jin sat for an interview with Harper's BAZAAR Korea, where he talked about several topics and answered questions related to his recent activities. One included the idol's thoughts on the most memorable message he received during the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay, where he participated as South Korea's representative torchbearer.
The idol shared that he came across an interview with a French ARMY who stated that they were happy to wait for over six to eight hours during the Torch Relay, as they waited for a year and a half during the idol's military service. Jin stated that when he heard this interview, it stuck with him.
"I saw a French fan being interviewed, 'I've waited a year and a half for the military; what's the big deal about waiting 6-8 hours? I can wait longer.' That really stuck with me."
