“That's literally Jaehyun's bubble display name” — Fans speculate NCT member’s appearance on Lee Young-ji's 'No Prepare' show after teaser photo drop

On September 4, 2024, South Korean rapper Lee Young-ji posted an encrypted image on the community of her YouTube channel, No Prepare, that led NCT fans to speculate Jaehyun's appearance on the show.

The image had a white background with black smoke with a hidden message. It was captioned:

"[Ep. 28] September 6, Friday, 7 PM."

The black smoke and the hidden message led the fans to speculate that Jaehyun will be appearing as a guest on Young-ji's No Prepare. The NCT member debuted his first solo studio album J with the title track Smoke on August 26, 2024.

Apart from the hints of the Smoke singer's album details, the image also contained translucent circles that reminded fans of the singer's display name on Bubble, an interactive application for fans and artists. An X user deciphered:

"guys.. there's a "ㅇㅇ“ in the smoke that youngji's no prepare youtube channel teased and that's literally jaehyun's bubble display name...."

The fans could not believe that they would be seeing their favorite artist on the talk show.

"jaehyun on lee youngji’s no prepare show??? the hints omg," one user wrote.

"please tell me this SMOKE is JEONG JAEHYUN?!!! Youngji Show pls," - a NCTzen reacted.

NCTzens felt excited and also imagined how the host might act when conversing with him.

"I can imagine youngji's reaction when he calls her name in person," one person wrote.

Jaehyun's first solo album

NCT Jaehyun debuted with his solo album J on August 26, 2024. The album contains 8 songs including the title track Smoke and its English version. He pre-released Roses and Dandelion as a joint track on August 12, garnering curiosity and anticipation for the full album release.

Other tracks include Flamin' Hot Lemon, Completely, Easy, and Can't Get You. The album is heavily inspired by Jazz and R&B genres. Artists such as Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds, Emotional Oranges duo - Azad Naficy and Ayal, Shakka Philip, and more have worked on the album.

Apart from promotions of music shows, the NCT member has been promoting various shows like Lee Mujin's Fan Service on YouTube which attracted a lot of positive comments for the singer. On September 6, he is speculated to appear on Lee Young-ji's No Prepare show.

The singer is also set to make a big screen debut with the movie You Will Die in 6 Hours which is set to hit the theatres in October 2024. The film won both the Best Actor Award and the Audience Award in the Korean competition category at the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
