The 39th Golden Disc Awards complete nominations list: ENHYPEN, BABYMONSTER, ATEEZ & more

The 39th Golden Disc Awards (GDA), one of South Korea's most prestigious music award ceremonies, is set to honor the finest achievements in the K-pop industry on January 4 and 5, 2024. Originally established in 1986 as the Korea Visual and Records Grand Prize, the GDA has since evolved into a global spectacle celebrating digital and physical music excellence.

This year’s ceremony will be held in Fukuoka PayPay Dome in Japan, highlighting the international popularity of K-pop. Fans and artists alike are eagerly awaiting this year’s winners, who will be recognized for their contributions to the music industry.

This year, the ASTRO idol-turned-actor Cha Eun-woo, who became popular for his K-dramas Wonderful World and True Beauty, will host the award show. Actress Moon Ga-young, who was also in True Beauty, will join him.

On December 3 and 9, 2024, the list of artists performing at the 39th Golden Disc Awards show will be announced via its official social media accounts.

Last year, the 38th Golden Disc Awards was held on January 7, 2023, at the Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. The grand prizes, known as Daesangs, were awarded to two prominent acts. While SEVENTEEN clinched the Album of the Year Daesang for their record-breaking mini-album FML, NewJeans took home the Digital Song of the Year Daesang for their viral hit Ditto.
