Popular American radio host JoJo Wright recently talked about BTS' Jimin and shared his experience in South Korea, where he toured the renowned HYBE building. During his latest radio stream on 102.7 KIIS-FM, he recounted his most memorable moment from the trip before playing three consecutive songs by the BTS member.
He revealed that the artwork the Like Crazy singer doodled on the mirrors of their dance practice room before enlisting in the military remains intact. For those who may not know, the BTS member created these fun drawings as part of the short dance videos he posted for fans under the hashtag #ThisIsJimin. Wright stated:
"You’ve seen the video of Jimin before he went to the military. He drew this artwork on the mirrors, right? The artwork is still there.”
JoJo Wright visited South Korea as part of the 2024 Weverse Con festival held on June 15-16, 2024. He interviewed various groups and idols during the event, including SEVENTEEN, RIIZE, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and more.
BTS' Jimin drew several purple hearts on the mirror at the studio in the HYBE building
In December 2023, shortly after the Filter singer enlisted in the military, BTS' official YouTube channel posted a short clip featuring the idol grooving to his song Closer Than This with three other dancers.
Towards the end of the video, he grabbed the camera to showcase his work on the mirror and was joined by his bandmate, V. The two posed with the doodles, adding a humorous touch to the video.
A few days later, BANGTANTV uploaded another video, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at Jimin's artwork. The doodles featured a comic figure of a person bowing, along with several purple hearts and heartfelt messages.
Some of the messages read, "Don't worry, I'm on my way to catch you," "I'll be back soon," "Please just stay healthy and happy," and "I love you so much."
More from the live show
During his live radio show, as part of his series KPOP W/JOJO, Wright played several K-pop tracks. He also spoke about the magnificence of the HYBE building and expressed his gratitude to the staff who gave him a tour.
The show began with a 'Jimin Triple Play,' featuring three consecutive songs by the Serendipity singer.
The playlist included the singer-dancer's recently released track, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, a pre-release for his upcoming second solo album MUSE, along with Set Me Free Pt. 2 and Like Crazy from his first solo album FACE.
Other K-pop tracks in the session included songs by BTS members V and Jungkook, SEVENTEEN, Jackson Wang X Bibi, TXT, TWICE, Stray Kids, BLACKPINK, and more.
Jimin and the other BTS members are expected to reunite by 2025 once all seven of them have completed their mandatory service.
