According to the Star News Korea report, Brigitte Macron had made a special request to the BTS star to headline the event’s opening performance this year.
As he took the stage, he greeted the audience with a cheerful "What's up Paris!." The idol performed three songs, On The Street from his special album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, More from his debut solo album Jack In The Box, and BTS' hit track MIC Drop.
Paired with his choreography and stage presence, the artist's performances of More and MIC Drop were specially arranged with orchestral versions. The 35,000-strong audience responded with synchronized fan chants and singing along in Korean.
j-hope shared his thoughts through his agency, BigHit Music, as reported via Star News Korea on January 24, stating:
"It’s been a long time since I greeted fans on a European stage, and I’m so happy to meet everyone at such a meaningful event. Once again, I realized how incredible it is to bring hope and comfort to people through singing and dancing. I sincerely thank ARMY for their support, and I hope to return with more amazing performances whenever possible."
