On August 23, 2024, BTS' Proof became the first K-pop album to surpass 15 billion streams on Spotify. It’s also the first and only Asian album to reach this milestone, making BTS the only Asian artists to achieve this feat.
Proof was BTS’ anthology album released on their 9th debut anniversary. It was also their last album as a group before all the members enlisted in the military. Hence, it was indeed a special album for the fans. After more than two years since its release, they are once again celebrating this album in the wake of its newest achievement. One fan on X wrote:

BTS' Proof becomes a standout Asian album
Released on June 10, 2022, Proof, the anthology album, not only celebrates the group's journey but also serves as a reflection of their growth and achievements over the years. The album features a comprehensive collection of their past hits, unreleased tracks, and three new songs, making it a must-have for both new fans and long-time ARMYs.
The title track, Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment), is a powerful anthem that encapsulates BTS' belief that their best moments are still ahead of them. One of the fans even used a line from this song, “The best is yet to come,” to describe this recent achievement.
Proof debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking BTS' sixth album to top this chart. It sold over 314,000 album-equivalent units in the United States during its first week, including an impressive 266,000 in traditional album sales.
The album quickly topped the iTunes charts in numerous countries worldwide, including the major music markets like the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan, among others.
In South Korea, Proof dominated the Gaon Album Chart, debuting at No. 1 and eventually becoming one of the best-selling albums of the year in the country. According to the Hanteo Chart, it quickly became a million-seller, selling over 2 million copies in its first week.
The album was nominated for and won several awards, both in South Korea and internationally. It was recognized at major music award shows such as the MAMA Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.
Proof is a three-CD compilation, each disc carefully curated to represent different aspects of BTS' musical journey. The first CD features their biggest hits, serving as a reminder of the group's incredible success and impact on the global music scene. The second CD includes fan-favorite B-sides and solo tracks, highlighting the individual talents of each member.
