SEVENTEEN’s BSS were seen getting emotional during the recent concert of BIGBANG's reunion performance. On September 1, 2024, Taeyang of BIGBANG held his solo concert titled THE LIGHT YEAR in Seoul. BSS members Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan were invited as guest performers at the solo concert.
Furthermore, Taeyang also invited his fellow BIGBANG member Daesung on stage to perform the song We Like 2 Party. Surprisingly, G-Dragon also joined them mid-performance.
During the We Like 2 Party song, Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan were captured waving their hands and enjoying the show. This was followed by G-Dragon remaining with Taeyang to perform the song Good Boy.
Clips of the SEVENTEEN's unit from the audience witnessing Taeyang perform solo went viral on social media. In particular, fans witnessed Seungkwan getting emotional multiple times during the show. While Seungkwan shed tears, Deokyeom was seen comforting him.
This was a significant moment for BIGBANG fans as Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung reunited after seven years on stage. Fans have shared their thoughts on BSS’ reaction to BIGBANG’s reunion at Taeyang's solo concert. Taking up to X (formerly Twitter), one fan said:
“See…bigbang is definitely the definition of THE IDOL of the idol.”
“You can’t change the fact that bigbang are the reason why we have current kpop bg and gg. because they become an inspiration to many other idols especially seungkwan,” another fan said.

Netizens also mentioned how BIGBANG has inspired younger K-pop groups including SEVENTEEN members.

BIGBANG dropped their last song Still Life in April 2022 as a four-member group with G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, and T.O.P.
Originally the quintet became a quartet as Seungri marked his departure from the entertainment industry in March 2019 following the Burning Sun case. Meanwhile, T.O.P. addressed going solo and leaving the group in May 2023 on his Instagram page.
The last group concert BIGBANG held was in 2017, and BIGBANG’s reunion with Taeyang, Daesung, and G-Dragon marked their first appearance on stage in seven years.
Previously solo artist Jeon Somi joined Taeyang on stage as a guest performer, this time, K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN's three-member unit BSS was invited. They performed some of their popular tracks like Fighting, Just Do It, and more at THE LIGHT YEAR concert.
Besides this three members also performed Super by SEVENTEEN alongside Taeyang. G-Dragon who was in the audience was seen smiling as BSS sang their motivational songs on stage.
