In celebration of the first anniversary of BTS' Taehyung's solo debut album Layover, BIGHIT MUSIC released a special vinyl edition. Pre-orders for the vinyl, which began on August 20, 2024, quickly sold out across multiple platforms, domestically and internationally.
Interestingly, the pre-order announcement for Taehyung's Layover vinyl was made just an hour before sales began, a departure from the usual practice of giving ample notice.
Despite the limited information and short notice, the vinyl edition was quickly snapped up, leading to sellouts on various platforms, including the BTS Japan Official Shop and Universal Music Store Japan, within 24 hours of its initial stocking.

On August 20, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced via Weverse the release of a special vinyl edition of Taehyung's solo debut album, Layover. The notice read:
"V’s first solo album, Layover, released in 2023, beautifully captures the artist’s emotions and has been widely cherished for showcasing his natural, unfiltered self. In response to the overwhelming love and support for V and his album, we are excited to announce that Layover will be available on vinyl."
