The plot of The Judge from Hell centers around Kang Bit-na, an elite judge who is secretly a demon, tasked with punishing the wicked and sending them to hell. Her journey intersects with Han Da-on, a skilled but emotionally wounded detective. Anticipation is high for Park Shin-hye's highly awaited return to the screen.

The Judge from Hell boasts a strong supporting cast, including Kim In-kwon, Kim Hye-hwa, and Lee Joong-ok. In the fourth episode, Da-on starts being suspicious of Bit-na. Now that he knows she is a demon, he has more questions.

The Judge From Hell episode 4 recap: A-rong brings a new case for Bit-na

In the fourth episode of The Judge From Hell, Da-on tells Bit-na that Ja-yeong will be inquired about child abuse in the case. He also decided to stop pestering Bit-na since he believed her. Bit-na later told A-rong and Man-do that her heart started beating fast recently and Man-do speculated that it could be the human emotion of love. However, if a demon falls in love, he or she will die.

Ja-young added sleeping pills to a drink and sneakily made Sun-hui have it. Meanwhile, she picked Ji-ho and took her back to her home to murder him as well. She asked him to get in the bathtub and hold his breath till she asked him to come out.

Just then, she got a call from an unknown woman who seemed to know of her crimes. The woman asked her to meet her at the place where she killed Hyeon-su. She leaves Ji-ho and goes to meet her. Ji-ho, having found an opportunity escaped and called Da-on who came to his rescue.

Bit-na meanwhile arrived at the location in the same car that Hyeon-su owned. After giving Ja-young a good beating, she got her to spill the truth about her murdering Hyeon-su. As the next step, she made her experience what Hyeon-su did. She even got her to confess to her first murder.

Ja-young had married an old man for his money and after blinding him without his knowledge, she pushed him off a cliff during a trek. She inherited his apartment but out of greed made Hyeon-su her next target. Since she was a school teacher, the detectives easily believed her.

Ja-young then had to go through what her first husband and Ji-ho went through. Bit-na, then sure that Ja-young had committed all these murders, did not forgive her and stabbed her with her dagger and branded her to go to Gehenna in hell.

This time, she put the body in a suitcase and left it near the police station to get Da-on to contact her again.

In this episode of The Judge from Hell, Assemblyman Jeong invited Bit-na for dinner which she accepted. During dinner, she found out that her parents were in Argentina and that her brother owned a Japanese restaurant. She also found out that the real Bit-na was supposed to be a successor to the Assemblyman. While she met Assemblyman Jeong and his older son, the younger son did not greet her, much to his father's dismay.

She got some food packaged there and brought it to A-rong to have. Gremory revealed that she took A-rong's body after she tried to commit suicide. She was an orphan and after being scammed by her friend she could not sustain herself and decided to end her life. Man-do was also someone with a sad story. He died of overworking and Valak took over his body.

Text day, Bit-na was called for inquiry regarding Ja-yeong's murder in The Judge from Hell. The police started treating the murder as a serial murder due to the mark on the forehead. Moreover, both victims were connected to Bit-na. Bit-na claimed herself not guilty due to a lack of evidence.

She then asked Da-on to drop her home. Due to his plain responses throughout the ride, she got annoyed. At the apartment, an old lady asked the two to stay away from each other otherwise one of them would die. Bit-na laughed it off and went home.

At the spot where Hyeon-su died, Da-on finds a can of soft drink crushed the way Bit-na crushed it and got suspicious.

A-rong found a case of a serial killer who committed 12 murders and was not convicted. The only witness, a 10-year-old child's statement was not considered. Bit-na asked A-rong to find out who the child grew up to become.

Ji-ho sent a gift for Bit-na, a portrait of her and in return received a letter from his parents in which they apologized to him and told him that they loved him. The mailman asked Ji-ho for his message. He promised to take care of his grandmother so his parents did not have to worry.

Back in her apartment, Bit-na found out that Da-on had moved into the apartment opposite hers. Seeing him, her heart started pounding and she fell to the ground while Da-on tried to help her. The fourth episode of The Judge from Hell ended here.

The next episode of The Judge from Hell is expected to be released on October 4 on Disney+ in selected regions.
