The Judge from Hell Episode 9-10 Recap: Is Jeong Seon-ho the real J?

Episode 9 of The Judge from Hell starts with So-yeong's funeral, where Han Da-on loses his cool while giving his speech. He threatens the killer and breaks down as a few police officers try to handle him. Watching this, Kang Bit-na tears up, and A-rong, who is present there, sees this. Bit-na is later able to see who So-yeong's killer is by placing her hand on her dead body.

When A-rong is interrogating Man-do, she reveals her real identity as Venato. The secret police from hell, who find demons breaking the rules in the human world.

Worried about tearing up constantly, Bit-na visits the doctor, but her reports are clear. In the police station, Da-on and his team get a new leader, and a new detective, Jang Mun-jae, joins them.

While discussing the cases of the bodies that had Gehenna branded on their forehead, Da-on tries to defend Bit-na while Donghoon is suspicious. As the two get into an argument, Da-on is paired with Mun-jae.

Bit-na tries to get Da-on to eat to make him feel better, but they overhear some people discussing So-yeong's case, and Da-on causes a ruckus and has to be pulled away by Bit-na. A-rong notices them together outside.

While discussing J's case with Da-on, Bit-na tears up again but pretends to have yawned. Man-do reports this to A-rong. Bit-na is then visited by the grandmother who reveals herself as the angel, Gabriel. She was supposed to protect the poor and good, Da-on being one of them, but since he has decided to commit a murder, she cannot protect him anymore. Hence, she wants Bit-na to take care of Da-on.

The Assemblyman's younger son, Seon-ho, crashed his car on the road, almost hitting a few school children, and a meeting with Bit-na and Assemblyman Jeong is arranged again. Bit-na decides to walk out of it after promising four years of probation for his Seon-ho.

In this episode of The Judge from Hell, Da-on and Dong-hoon get into an altercation over Bit-na's innocence, and Dong-hoon lands two punches on him. Mun-jae speaks to Da-on and tries to find out more about Bit-na.

Bit-na sees Da-on and tends to the wounds on his face. The next day, during the trial, she asks Seon-ho if he accepts the charges, and he does. After he refuses to look at her, she gets down from her chair, holds his face, and asks if he has ever murdered or thought about murdering someone. It is revealed that Bit-na saw him holding a knife when she touched the forehead of So-yeong to see the killer.

Da-on and Mun-jae find some CCTV recordings as evidence against Bit-na. However, Da-on deleted them while no one was looking, but Mun-jae caught him and confronted him later. Mun-jae later visits A-rong, who asks him to murder Da-on. After this, he goes to meet Bit-na.

In episode 10 of The Judge from Hell, Jang Mun-jae is revealed to be Paimon, Justitia's rival of 400 years. A-rong had summoned Bael, who entrusted the duty of killing Da-on to Paimon.

Bit-na lets Seon-ho off with 2 years of prison and 4 years of probation as promised. Due to a few controversies about her lenient decisions, Bit-na is suspended for one month. During this time, she investigates J. Since J cuts out a body part of every one of his victims, she doubts that he might be Satan, who is trying to make a body to stay on earth.

In this episode of The Judge from Hell, A-rong tries to ensure that Paimon does not harm Bit-na, but he chooses to ignore her.

Hence, Bit-na and Da-on set out to meet the families of the victims and see if any of them have forgiven the killer. Meanwhile, Tae-gyu, the Assemblyman's second son, tries to get Myeong-suk's daughter to convince her mother to leave the villa for redevelopment. In a flashback, it is revealed that her son was killed by J.

Her daughter tries to convince her to go for redevelopment, but she refuses. Later, when Da-on and Bit-na visit her, she tells them she has been waiting for the killer. She has a question that she wants to ask him.

She tears up again after visiting Da-on's old home, but Da-on stays strong. Next, she goes to a club to see Seon-ho, doubting him as Satan and J. However, it is evident that he is drunk and does not understand what she is referring to either.

A-rong and Paimon call Da-on to a secluded building using Man-do's voice-changing abilities. Man-do feels bad about what he has done and escapes A-rong by throwing sulfur powder on her. With Gabriel's help, he informs Bit-na that Da-on is in danger.

In the building, Da-on, who is no match for Mun-jae's demonic powers, is losing the fight. However, Bit-na arrives on time. She easily overpowers Paimon, who is in the body of Mun-jae but is sent into a nightmare and cornered. Da-on screams her name and brings her back to reality.

After stabbing Paimon with his own weapon, she hugs Da-on. Paimon, who is still alive, gets up again with his weapon and aims it at Bit-na, but Da-on covers her. With this, episode 10 of The Judge from Hell comes to an end.

The next two episodes of The Judge from Hell will be released on October 25 and 26.
