Anonymous netizen threatens to harm NewJeans members at their Bunnie Camp Fanmeet 2024
On June 24, when a netizen posted about their alleged plan to attack NewJeans, people were naturally alarmed and concerned for the members' safety. The K-pop girl group is scheduled to hold their first fan meet at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, and it is expected to be rolled out on June 26 and 27.
The netizen's plan, therefore, was to attack the members with their knife when they got out of their van to enter the venue. Here's what the post's caption stated:
“I bought this to use if NewJeans holds a concert." "When you NewJeans get off the van, I'm going to give you one each."
Soon after this post landed on the internet, fans began to trend hashtags on X, such as ADOR Take Action, ADOR Protect NewJeans, etc. They also passed email templates to fellow netizens to mass email the agency to get their attention on the issue as soon as possible. While the netizen's post left many alarmed, the agency has decided to continue their schedules with the event.
While security has been tightened at Tokyo Dome for the upcoming event, the Korean police have taken measures to narrow down the netizen's identity. On the other hand, the K-pop girl group's fan meet, Bunnies Camp 2024, will be a celebration of their recent Japanese debut. The group released two new tracks, Supernatural and Right Now, both in Japanese.
Therefore, the members are most likely expected to perform and promote the release of their latest tracks at the event. Apart from the most recent comeback, NewJeans also rolled out a few other tracks, such as How Sweet and Bubble Gum. As fans continue to interact with their recent comebacks enthusiastically, they are also thrilled to see live performances.
