On Thursday, September 26, 2NE1's Park Bom uploaded an Instagram post on her personal account, seemingly speculating that the South Korean actor Lee Min-ho was her husband. The post was a collage of her and Lee Min-ho, and the caption stated the following with an accompanying heart emoji:
"Honestly, husband."
The post naturally began to garner a lot of attention as fans began to question the legitimacy of the idol's post. It also gained over 50k likes on Instagram and soon began to overtake discussions on social media platforms. However, the speculations and controversy were soon shut down through a statement released by the singer's agency.
2NE1 Park Bom's agency, D-Nation Entertainment, released a statement explaining that the idol recently watched Lee Min-ho's classic K-drama series, Heirs. Following that, the idol has reportedly been smitten with the K-drama actor, and the post about him being her husband was supposed to be a harmless joke.
However, the agency explained that they understood the weight of the idol's actions. They apologized on behalf of the idol regarding the same and also subsequently removed the post from her Instagram page.
The statement read:
"Park Bom has been watching the drama 'Heirs' recently and got completely smitten with its main actor, Lee Min-ho. It seems that’s why she posted that message. It was just a harmless happening without any special reason. The post will be taken down."
