BTS' Spring Day creates history on MelOn

Released in February 2017 as part of their album You Never Walk Alone, Spring Day quickly became a fan favorite for its emotional lyrics, haunting melody, and message of longing and hope. Its popularity has not waned over the years, earning the title of "Queen of Longevity" for its continuous presence on music charts and streaming platforms.

In addition to being the most successful song on MelOn, Spring Day has achieved numerous other accolades on the platform. Notably, it won the award for "Song of the Year" during the 9th MelOn Music Awards in 2023. Beyond MelOn, the song was also recognized by Rolling Stone in February 2024 as the best K-pop song of all time.

On December 12, 2024, coinciding with the enlistment of BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, Spring Day once again demonstrated its popularity by climbing to the top spot on the US iTunes chart. Fans affectionately referred to this moment as their "military wives" era, showing their continued support by streaming the song in droves.

Beyond MelOn, Spring Day boasts impressive statistics on other platforms as well, with 536 million views on YouTube and over 500 million streams on Spotify, making it a song to behold for years to come.
