On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the globally renowned luxury fashion house Gucci appointed BTS' Jin as the global brand ambassador. The fashion brand made this announcement through a notification. Following this announcement, the official Gucci Japan website reportedly crashed. This incident made waves on social media platforms.

BTS' Jin appointed as Gucci's global brand ambassador following his return from military service
BTS' Jin joined the ranks of ambassadors at the high-end fashion brand. It is speculated that the BTS member will serve as the face of Gucci at numerous global events and projects.
The fashion label shared the news of BTS' Jin's appointment as the global ambassador via different platforms. The caption of its post on X read:
"The House is delighted to begin a new creative journey with #Jin from @BTS_twt as the award-winning artist joins the #Gucci family as its new Global Brand Ambassador."
Sabato De Sarno, Creative Director of Gucci, welcomed BTS' Jin to Gucci family, saying,
"I am very excited to welcome Jin as Global Brand Ambassador. His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him."
Miley Cyrus, Hanni of NewJean, Lee Jung Jae of Squid Game, and Jay Park are among the other Gucci ambassadors.
Jin, aka Kim Seok-jin, is the senior member of the K-pop boy band. On June 12, he became the first BTS member to return to the public eye after his 18-month mandatory military service. Six of the other members are presently serving in the military.
In other news, BTS' Jin was also a torchbearer for South Korea in the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay. It was his first significant appearance since stepping out of the military.
