BTS member Kim Seok-jin, widely known as Jin, was recently seen lending a helping hand to the female staff during his appearance as the first guest on tvN’s variety show, Handsome Guys. The show premiered on December 1, 2024, at 7:40 PM KST and was aired on the South Korean broadcast network, tvN, and its OTT platform TVING.
The program brought together five celebrities—Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Kim Dong-hyun, Oh Sang-uk, and Shin Seung-ho—as they travel across South Korea, exploring the country’s natural beauty, cultural landmarks, and unique stories. Each episode will feature a special guest and the BTS idol's participation in the debut episode went viral online.
Meanwhile, clips from the episode went viral online that showed the Epiphany singer-songwriter working at a mackerel fish factory, helping the female staff. As a result of losing the show's quiz in the third round, the musician had to face the penalty of working at the fish factory for hours. Fans lauded him for his tenacity and gentlemanly behavior as he worked hard and helped the women.
One fan wrote on X:
"Seokjin is fr the standard. He worked so hard"
Fans praised the BTS idol for being humble despite his stardom and appreciating everyone's hard work.
"As a foodie, I think he appreciates things like this. Seeing and experiencing, briefly, first hand his food’s journey before he buys it is a privilege. Seokjin appreciates real good labour being born in a family where good life is earned," one fan said.
"Of the many side quests seokjin has done through his variety shows, I admire how he never fails to acknowledge the hardwork and labor that goes into each and every one of them," another fan wrote.
"Him learning something new and useful everyday…" another fan added.
Others made light of the matter and pointed out that watching Jin work at a fish factory and clean fish wasn't on their bingo cards.
"I feel bad that he had to do the penalty all by hismelf even tho he was the one who won two quizzes for his team, it's it fair," one fan sympathized.
"This was NOT in my seokjin-working-all-jobs bingo," another fan wrote.
"Sitting like that and doing that work takes up lot of energy. Standing and doing n rest in middle was ok I feel both are Hardwork both I said what I felt..." another fan commented.
