On September 18, 2024, Rolling Stone released their exclusive interview with the South Korean K-pop group Stray Kids, where the eight-member band discussed their musical journey. During the conversation, member Changbin revealed that their friendships had been shaped through multiple fights as they embarked on a musical journey as a band. He mentioned:
"The strongest friendships are honed with fights. Now we can say our bonds are stronger."
Subsequently, Han candidly expressed that it had been almost eight years since the group's formation, including trainee years. He further explained that it had been nearly ten years since he started living with Stray Kids' members.
Stray Kids' Han confessed that he would be friends with the band for the rest of his life
Explaining Stray Kids' musical journey, Han emphasized his enduring friendship with the band, despite differing opinions and conflicts. He mentioned:
"Sometimes we have differences of opinions, and sometimes we have conflicts, which is totally normal, but at first, I felt like they were my companions as they shared a dream and a goal to work together. Then that relationship turned more into friends that you keep for the rest of your life, and now it's changing again."
The 24-year-old confessed that he felt like his bandmates were akin to his blood relatives and longed for their presence in his absence, emphasizing the wonderful nature of their relationship.
Meanwhile, the second oldest member of Stray Kids, Lee Know, stated that he had zero difficulties living with the members since he was a student. He used to hang out with them, which was rather enjoyable than challenging for him. Seungmin jokingly remarked that it was 'terrible' to get to know each other at the start and then live in a confined space.
Han continued to share experiences about the group's musical journey as a band and cited the first phase as the most awkward one. Stray Kids members had to meet to get to know each other, and subsequently, once the first phase was over, they started living together.
Meanwhile, Seungmin shared how the members grew fond of each other over time and mentioned:
"It didn't change, but it got deeper. We live together, we play music together, we dance and sing together, enjoy the stage together. We talk a lot about what we have been doing recently and what thoughts we are thinking about these days. These kinds of talks get deeper."
Changbin discussed the band's shared goal of achieving success together. He mentioned that they all had the same dream and were thrilled to have gone through the process, as it had strengthened the group's bond.
In recent news, Stray Kids released their ninth-mini album ATE on July 19, 2024, through JYP Entertainment.
