On Wednesday, November 27, ADOR released a statement in response to BELIFT LAB's notice about NewJeans member Hanni's alleged workplace harassment through a BELIFT LAB staff member.

In a previous statement, BELIFT LAB had defended its staff member. The company claimed that the manager never told their fellow staff members to ignore Hanni and that NewJeans and ADOR fabricated that incident. The agency further alleged it conducted a thorough investigation and checked CCTV cameras to confirm that the incident didn't occur.

Regardless, ADOR has been persistent with its stance. As reported by Newsen, the agency said that BELIFT LAB's claims were false and that they completely trusted Hanni's words on the incident. ADOR further urged BELIFT LAB to refrain from taking the idol's perspective as a victim lightly.

"BELIFT LAB claims are completely different from the statements made by Hanni. Hanni clearly remembers a member of BELIFT LAB saying something to the extent of 'ignore her.' We fully trust our artist's word and truly regret the harm caused to Hanni," ADOR's statement read.
"We hope that BELIFT LAB will show mutual respect and not take Hanni’s harm lightly and that they will show good faith to prevent any unnecessary controversy from continuing against any of our artists."

Following ADOR's statement, many fans have been angered and confused. NewJeans had given a 14-day ultimatum, and November 28 marks its last day.

While one of their demands was an apology from the BELIFT LAB manager for the incident, their other concerns included ADOR's alleged disrespect to the members, lack of proper management, and contract violations.

Therefore, fans stated that ADOR supporting NewJeans and taking a stand against BELIFT LAB looks suspicious as the agency has not addressed or resolved NewJeans's demands. Many also criticized the agency for releasing a statement in support of Hanni almost two months after the incident.

"The switch up is CRAZY, adore is so fake," one fan tweeted.
"Empty words, empty promises like a broken record," said a fan on X.
"Trust the words of our artist and truly feel sorry? This is nonsense," added another fan.
"this statement being two months late....," commented a netizen.
"They're really just covering their tracks with pure formalities to use as evidence that they did care about NewJeans," stated a fan.

More netizens criticized ADOR for its delayed statement and sudden support towards Hanni as the group's ultimatum nears its end.

"the sudden switch up is so funny, you were the first one to ignore her concerns," added another fan.
"This is not what NewJeans meant when they said take action against Belift Lab," said an X user.
"doing this knowing that nwjns is on the way out of that building," added another X user.

All about NewJeans' 14-day ultimatum that demanded ADOR's correction of the exclusive contract violations

On November 13, the K-pop girl group under ADOR released a 14-day ultimatum notice to their agency, demanding them to correct the exclusive contract violations they made. The first was for ADOR to take action against HYBE and their alleged agenda to discard or throw away NewJeans.

This was revealed through the internal documents leak during HYBE's attendance at the National Assembly Audit. Another demand was an apology from BELIFT LAB's manager for asking people to ignore her and action from ADOR against BELIFT LAB.

The group members also urged ADOR to take action against HYBE PR for the alleged disparagement of the group's achievements. They asked the agency to remove the unauthorized pictures and videos of the members circulating online. In another demand, they asked to resolve the situation around the group where their success was undervalued due to "Album Pushing."

They also demanded that the agency resolve unnecessary disputes with the director of the group's music videos, Shin Woo-seok, the Director of Dolphiners, since ADOR previously requested the director to remove all NewJeans-related content from their company's portals.

The group expressed that they would leave the company and terminate their contract with ADOR if these demands weren't met.
