In a recent appearance on Hello, I'm Choi Hwa Jung's YouTube show, South Korean actor Song Joong-ki shared about special moments with Katy Louise Saunders in Italy. While talking to the host on the December 26 episode, the actor expressed his love for his wife.

He mentioned the ordinary activities of daily life, including cooking, picking olives from trees, and strolling in nature. These things, he said, provided immense joy to him.

"The time I spend with my wife in Italy is the most precious to me," he said, as translated by Allkpop.

Song Joong-ki and Katy Louise Saunders tied the knot in January 2023. Consequently, the latter gave birth to a son and a daughter in June 2023 and November 2024, respectively.

During the conversation with Choi Hwa-jung, Song Joong-ki mentioned that his firstborn son had started learning the Italian language. The actor said he felt ecstatic to watch his son comprehend the new language. He shared that with everyday communication with his family, he felt grateful for every moment.

Song Joong-ki also expressed his love for Italian food and mentioned they even had an olive tree at their house. He credited his admiration for the Italian dishes to his wife and added (as translated by X user @kdramahandle):

"After meeting my wife, who has lived in Italy her whole life, I fell in love with Italian food. Now, I feel empty if I don't put olive oil on everything I eat. We even have an olive tree at our house in Italy and make our own olive oil."

The Vincenzo actor further shared how Katy Louise Saunders would frequently scold him for not maintaining proper values, manners, and character.

"She values manners and character more than I, as a Korean, do. I often get scolded by her. Once, I was 20 minutes late for an appointment with my manager because of work, and she told me, 'Why are you keeping people waiting?' She always reminds me of the basics. Honestly, it helps, even though it makes me feel so insignificant sometimes!," he said as translated by X user @kdramahandle.

Song Joong-ki further confessed that since he and his wife resided in Italy, they had grown to understand each other better. They also fostered their love, which, in turn, created a peaceful and stable atmosphere.
