Light Shop director Kim Hee-won showcased his vision for the second season in the recently released New Year's Party video. The Disney+ Korea YouTube channel unveiled the video on January 17, 2025. It featured director Kim Hee-won and actors Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Min-ha, Kim Seol-hyun, Lee Jung-eun, and Shin Eun-soo.
Director Kim Hee-won revealed that he planned on making a sophomore season. He stated that he had added a few content in some scenes that may make a path for the next season.
“There are cuts that were filmed with Season 2 in mind,” he said.

Light Shop is a mystery thriller Korean drama series released on Disney+. The drama showcases several characters whose paths intersect when they visit the Light Shop. The characters experience traumatic past experiences and face difficulties in the present as a consequence.
Author Kang Full, widely known for his webtoon Moving, which was also turned into a Disney+ series, recently talked about the first season's conclusion in an interview. He discussed the series' format and how the last two episodes were surprisingly longer than usual.
He added the ending would justify the places where the characters would find themselves by the ending.
“While the usual episodes are 40-45 minutes, episodes 7 and 8 are much longer in length. I think it will be a very good ending. It will be a story where all the characters, wherever they are, find their rightful places,” he said.
The Ju Ji-hoon starrer drama aired between December 4 and 18, 2025, on Disney+ as an original Korean language series. The show received appreciation from fans and viewers, becoming the most-watched Korean-language original drama on the OTT platform. Furthermore, it reached the second spot of the most-watched drama series since the launch of the streaming platform.
