On Thursday, November 7, the South Korean police in charge of Jessi's ongoing investigations revealed that they've concluded to drop all charges against the K-pop soloist. No fee related to the idol's previous charges of threatening, concealing, and assisting abuse was forwarded to her.

This was following the incident that took place on September 29, where a fan of Jessi was allegedly assaulted by an anonymous male individual, who was reportedly part of the idol's companions. The K-pop soloist and the producer, Koala, who was reportedly also spotted trying to prevent the fight, were charged with threatening, assault, concealment of the abuser, and more.

On October 16, she was called for police investigations regarding the same. Following the investigations, the police revealed that there was little evidence to prove that the idol was involved in the assault carried out by the anonymous assaulter.

Here's the statement that the South Korean police released regarding the same:

"There is little evidence to indicate that Jessi participated in the assault or in threatening the victim, nor did she make any attempts to assist the perpetrator dodge the investigation."

On the other hand, producer Koala's case is being forwarded to prosecution with charges of assault and threatening.

All you need to know as Jessi's fan gets allegedly assaulted by an anonymous individual

On September 29, a fan of Jessi was reportedly assaulted by an unidentified man on the streets of Apujeong, Seoul. This was revealed when an 18-year-old claimed that he was assaulted when he approached the K-pop soloist to ask for a photo with her. While the idol declined to take the photo, one of the men from her company allegedly began to block him and swear at him in English.

When the idol reportedly stepped in to resolve the issue between the two, another man unexpectedly came towards the fan and began to assault him. Though the idol and her parties tried to stop the man, she was soon seen leaving the scene through the CCTV footage. The fan also expressed their disappointment with the idol for walking away without helping him out.

"Someone was being hit, and I don't know if Jessi ran away to avoid involvement, but I was really let down. Even in the video, she just stood by, and as a fan, it was quite disappointing," read the fan's informant report to the Gangnam Police station

Following the incident, Jessi released a statement addressing the issue and apologized for the same.

"Recently, during a private gathering with acquaintances, a fan requested a photo. However, because it was late at night, I politely declined twice. At that moment, a nearby individual whom I had seen that night for the first time suddenly assaulted the fan," Jessi wrote.

In the statement, Jessi also talked about being "too shocked" to help.

"Because I also was too shocked by the sudden turn of events, I was not able to show my consideration toward the fan. Irrespective of the exact details of the incident, I express immense regret that the victim suffered from such an act of injustice, and I feel morally responsible." the idol stated.

She concluded the statement by expressing that her agency and she had reached out to the victim's mother and had been assisting her in finding the perpetrator.
