Twinkling Watermelon star Choi Hyun-wook is all over the internet for an Instagram story where he accidentally shared a seemingly nude photo. On November 13, Choi Hyun-wook shared the photo of a Bearbrick which started to circulate on social media as many netizens zoomed in to see a reflection of a seemingly naked image of a person with just underpants.

Due to the reflection of the Bearbrick, many people believed it was the Twenty-Five Twenty-One actor who clicked the photo. However, the identity of the person in the photograph was not confirmed, and it was soon deleted from the actor’s Instagram page.

On November 14, SPOTV, a South Korean media outlet reported that GOLDMEDALIST, the actor's agency said they do not have a statement in response to the recent incident involving the actor.

“We have no separate position,”- they said.

The photo went viral on social media and many netizens stated their opinions over the incident. Furthermore, netizens were perplexed learning that GOLDMEDALIST had responded to the situation as many believed that the photo was taken unintentionally. The netizens also criticized the K-media for requesting the agency for an explanation.

Twinkling Watermelon actor Choi Hyun-wook's upcoming K-drama Black Salt Dragon with Mun Ka-young

In July 2024, ChosunBiz confirmed that Choi Hyun-wook has been cast as the main male lead character for the upcoming tvN drama Black Salt Dragon alongside True Beauty star Mun Ka-young. The show has become one of the most anticipated dramas due to the casting and is set for a 2025 release.

Helmed by director Lee Soo-hyun and written by screenwriter Kim Soo-yeon, Black Salt Dragon is based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name penned by author Hye Jin-yang.

Choi Hyun-wook will play the role of Ban Joo-yeon, the head of the strategic planning team of the Yongseong Department Store, who used to play in an online game as Black Salt Dragon with second-year middle school syndrome. However, he decides to conceal this and live only as the perfectionist chaebol successor.

Meanwhile, Mun Ka-young will play the role of Baek Soo-jung planning team leader at Yongseong Department Store. Baek Soo-jung is a diligent employee who only moves forward toward the company’s goals. She doesn't hold back from standing up for herself instead of enduring.

She shares a dark history with Ban Joo-yeon who she wants to erase. Ban Joo-yeon meets Baek Soo-jung, his former opponent “Strawberry” as his subordinate at work after 16 years. Their romance starts to bloom as the boss and the employee due to their ill-fated reunion.

Notably, Choi Hyun-wook has gained appreciation for his acting skills in shows including Weak Hero Class 1, Twenty-Five Twenty-One, D.P 2, High Cookie, and more.
