On October 23, 2024, the YouTube channel of BANGTAN TV posted a brief video of Jin recalling his emotional reunion with BTS on his military discharge. Kim Seokjin reminisced while on his way to receive j-hope from a military facility in the Wonju district of Gangwon-do province after his service ended on October 17.
The Awake singer commented on his military discharge, saying:
“I don't really remember what happened when the members came to see me,”
Additionally, he asserted that he had a clear memory of what happened after returning to the company headquarters. Later, when Jin saw the photos of his discharge, he could only see the members hugging each other.
“But later on when I saw photos of the members in the news, they were just hugging each other”

On June 12, 2024, Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, became the first member of the septet to finish his compulsory military service. The idol joined the service on December 13, 2022. Jin was welcomed by his fellow group members, including RM, j-hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, on his discharge day. They received Seokjin outside the military training facility at Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.

On October 18, Naver reported on Kim Seokjin's opulent fashion ensemble worn on j-hope's military discharge. The Epiphany singer allegedly donned an ensemble valued at over 70 million KRW.
On October 17, 2024, Kim Seokjin graciously greeted his bandmate, j-hope. j-hope, aka Hobi, is the second member of BTS to fulfill his military obligation, following Jin. Seokjin wore full fashion attire with luxury labels Gucci and FRED, for which he serves as a global ambassador.
He chose a red cotton blazer and trousers adorned with the distinctive Gucci emblem. Jin paired the look with black sunglasses and loafers for an elegant appearance. Furthermore, he created a charming assortment of bracelets and rings adorned with diamonds and sapphires.
The jacket and pants from Gucci's 2024 FW collection, worn by the BTS member, were appraised at roughly 7 million KRW, but the sunglasses and loafers are estimated at around 2 million KRW.
The jewelry carried by Kim Seokjin was valued at 37.8 million KRW, comprising bracelets valued at 17.7 million KRW and rings priced at 6.96 million KRW and 2.47 million KRW, respectively. Therefore, the total value of his luxury fashion look was estimated to be around 70 million KRW.
