“They’ll come back stronger” — Fans react as BTS’ Jimin opens up about not being with ARMY during the release of ‘MUSE’

BTS' Park Jimin made his fans emotional after sharing that he was sad for not being able to share their happiness during the release of MUSE. On August 5, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC (now HYBE Labels) released the ‘Rebirth + Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson)’ Live Clip Behind YouTube video on BANGTANTV.

The Be Mine singer-songwriter mentioned in the video that he bleached his hair after two years. He added that he knows that ARMYs would assume that he has filmed several things due to his hair color. He apologized for being away and said,

"I bleached my hair for the first time in almost two years. So our fans would probably think that I'm doing something right now and that it'd come out soon. I feel sorry that I can't enjoy this together with you all but I'm sure you'll enjoy it even if I'm not there."

Jimin enlisted for his mandatory service in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023. He recorded and pre-filmed its music videos ahead of his enlistment. Additionally, all the behind-the-scenes videos for MUSE were filmed at the same time.

Fans became emotional to see the BTS idol get sad on camera as he asked his fans to enjoy his new album even though he wouldn't be able to join in the celebration. One fan wrote on X,

"The sadness to leave the stage. Hope they'll come back stronger than ever."

BTS ARMY expressed missing Jimin and mentioned that the celebrations felt empty without his presence.

"LET HIM OUT. Jimin deserves to enjoy this celebration of his music with us," one fan said.

"We would rather have you here with us, enjoying your achievements with the Muse album," another fan wrote on X.

"It must be heartbreaking for him to be away when his album released. He can’t even meet us or come online to talk about his album or thank us. He worked hard for 2 yrs to create 2 albums so that we could enjoy them. Oh gosh I miss him!" another fan said.

Others promised to wait for Jimin's return from the military when all BTS members will return and begin group activities.

"We will wait for you, sweetheart. And we will enjoy what would come together. We're here to stay," one other fan added.

"THATS IT. I'M GOING TO TAKE OUT ALL MY TANNIES FROM THERE," another fan commented.

"I need him back. Yes of course we are enjoying it but I would much rather enjoy him being back," one fan said.

Apart from this, BTS Jimin also pre-filmed a performance video of WHO at the old and abandoned Waikiki Hotel in Chungju, South Korea. The performance clip was played at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 22, 2024. Due to his enlistment, the BTS star couldn't make an appearance on Fallon's show, however, the Hollywood host gave a shoutout to Jimin's latest release on his show.

Additionally, in the ‘Rebirth + Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson)’ Live Clip Behind, the BTS idol performs a duet with Sofia Carson on SLOW DANCE from MUSE. He also teaches her how to say "Thank You" in Korean as the two artists bowed together in front of the cameras to express their gratitude towards fans.

Park Jimin will return from the military in June 2025 along with Suga, Namjoon, Jungkook, and Taehyung. Furthermore, his reality show with Jungkook, Are You Sure?!, will be released on Disney+ on August 8, 2024.
