Recently, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s (TXT) Soobin raised concerns about his health through Weverse, alarming fans about HYBE's gruelling demands from idols. On September 15, 2024, Soobin shared a series of direct messages, saying that he was severely fatigued and barely had the strength to eat.

His confession, alongside an image of him resting, led fans to criticize HYBE (BIGHIT MUSIC) for allegedly overworking their artists. His caption read:

"passing out, i’m so tired… I don’t even have the energy to swallow food so i only ate half of it. For starters, i’ll wash up and be back. I might not be back either… "

Soobin's post, where he mentioned being so tired that he couldn’t even swallow food, ignited outrage on social media.

Fans expressed their anger towards the company, accusing it of neglecting its artists' well-being. Raising concerns over their packed schedule, a user on X, @dionysusonfire wrote:

"having 3 comebacks in one year while also having a tour and promoting solo endeavours should not be supported! they need REAL breaks that aren't tied to their injuries and exhaustion PLEASE help by joining the boycott."
"They deserve that rest sooo much," a fan commented.
"the way he texted istg it hurts ugh i hope they all gets as much as rest they want," an X user wrote.
"Soobin...aww... Hope you had a good night's sleep. Eat a lot for breakfast. Take care, babe," a user remarked.
"So do their super short break starts today I’m worried about them after what soobin said on weverse dm," a fan wrote.

Many called for a boycott of HYBE, urging the label to prioritize health over profit, especially as more idols from the agency have been reporting injuries.

TXT’s packed schedule has long been a concern among fans. The group's intense world tour, coupled with the upcoming release of a new album, adds to their already hectic workload.

"These idols are not silent about their abuse, y’all just don’t listen," a fan mentioned.
"Yall are letting hybe get away with literally abusing their arists, their employees bad mouthing their top artists, overworking them till they pass out, not defending them, do yall even CARE about your favs !" another X user wrote.
"tell me ONE hybe artist that isnt being mistreated exploited or overworked to thr ground. hybe sees them as NOTHING BUT INCOME GENERATING OBJECTS. if u genuinely care abt them & want better for them, boycott!!" another user commented.

Fans voice concerns over increasing injuries among HYBE artists due to intense schedules

Fans interpreted TXT's Soobin’s comments as a subtle hint at the strain he and his fellow members are under, prompting renewed calls for better treatment.

HYBE has faced increasing backlash over artist injuries, with several of its idols recently sidelined due to health problems. Notably, ENHYPEN's Jay had to sit out parts of a performance due to a knee injury, while another member, Jake, was seen with bandages during their shows.

Such incidents have fueled criticism, with fans highlighting a worrying trend of recurring injuries among HYBE artists. Injuries are not uncommon in the K-pop industry, but fans have expressed alarm at the frequency of injuries within the company.

This year alone, several idols, including members of TXT, NewJeans, ILLIT, and SEVENTEEN, have been forced to take breaks due to leg-related injuries.

Fans are calling for the label to reconsider the intensity of its scheduling, demanding that the well-being of its idols be given greater priority moving forward.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is currently performing the Asia leg of their ACT: PROMISE world tour. Their next scheduled performance will be in Jakarta, Indonesia, in October.
