On Monday, January 6, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon took to her Bubble account to explain the reason behind her absence from SMTOWN LIVE 2025, the upcoming concert series. On December 12, 2024, SM Entertainment released a statement expressing that the Girls' Generation idol will not participate in the concert series which is expected to have all active SM artists.

In her recent Bubble message, the idol revealed that her absence was due to the lack of preparation from the agency's side. She expressed that she was interested in singing a couple of her solo songs at the concert.

The idol stated that the agency failed to take the required steps to include her request. She also said that it wasn't her disinterest in participating in SMTOWN LIVE 2025 but it was because she wanted to take a more sincere and passionate approach to the same.

I just want to be sincere and passionate about the stage and do my best, but I'm seriously thinking about it because they don't help me with that. What on earth is going on?
