BIGHIT MUSIC (now HYBE) opened BTS' Jungkook's solo exhibition, GOLDEN: The Moments, on August 30, 2024. The event was held in the Le Meridien Moxy Hotel and will last till September 22. Fans shared several pictures from the exhibition on social media starting August 30, which showed the event displaying the idol's various awards, unseen pictures, MV outfits, and more.
On September 2, a video of the singer's acapella version of the song, Hate You, went viral online. The rendition along with an MV was reportedly played at the exhibition at Le Meridien Moxy Hotel. Hate You is a track from Jungkook's debut solo album, GOLDEN, released on November 3, 2023.
The latest exhibition highlights the BTS idol's solo journey while working on his album and promoting it in North America. Outfits worn by him in MVs of Standing Next To You, SEVEN (feat. Latto), and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), were all displayed at the exhibition alongside his MTV Video Music Award, MTV Europe Music Award, and Billboard Music Award, among others.
Fans were stunned to hear the acapella version of the ballad song and praised his vocals. One fan wrote on X,
"New unreleased version of 'Hate you' jungkook acapella vocals from “GOLDEN THE MOMENTS” exhibition, omg this is so beautiful"
ARMYs (BTS fans) lauded the BTS maknae for adding this track to his debut solo album and also recording a new version of it.
"Hate you is already my favorite track in Golden and now it has elevated my love for it. Such a beautiful rendition," one fan wrote on X.
"If I were the one at that exhibition, listening to this in that room, I would cry like a baby. Just imagining it gives me goosebumps! That angelic voice as clear as if he were there singing, please, it would be impossible not to cry. I want to hear him live SO BAD, one day?!!" another fan said.
"I mean if this isn’t the closest you get to vocal perfection idk what is. He sings circles around all these other vocalists. Literal voice of an angel," one other fan wrote.
acapellaOthers praised his vocal range and stated that his baritones added "emotions" to the song.
"They know what the audience wants I need them to do this with all his songs," one fan added.
"There won't be any singer like jungkook. His voice alone is so beautiful and he sings sings with so much emotions," another fan commented.
"The way he brings in the emotions naturally shows why people love his vocals and singing so much. His Acapella is better than the studio version," one other fan wrote.
