On October 27, Dolby Atmos dropped an exclusive video of BTS' Jin, titled Love Jin More In Dolby, where he performed his latest single I'll Be There live. The track is a pre-release single from the idol's upcoming solo album Happy, set to be released on November 15.
Meanwhile, the official track music video titled "진 (Jin) 'I'll Be There' Official MV" was released on October 25 on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel. Astute fans noted that the official MV gained over 14 million views nine days after its release, while the Dolby Atmos' video gained over 13 million views within eight days.
Despite the HYBE LABELS channel having over 76 million followers, many questioned how Jin's official music video of I'll Be There garnered fewer views compared to Dolby Atmos, which only has over 771K subscribers. Additionally, BTS ARMY accused YouTube of allegedly deleting views from the K-pop star's official MV.
One fan accused YouTube of "unprofessionalism" and wrote on X:
"Shame on you @YouTube @YouTubeCreators @youtubemusic Deleting the views from fans like this... Your bias is showing when you support only people that pay for your ads. This is disgusting and unprofessional. If this how you run your company, you'll only run the fans away."
The BTS fandom flooded X by tagging the official accounts of YouTube and questioning them about the alleged miscounting of the views.
"This is literally evidence no.1 we bring to the court btw. you are telling me Dolby channel with 700k subscribers and HYBE channel with 76 MILLION subscribers can compete with each other like this? yeah, u need to be serious . stop this nonsense. the blatant disrespect…," a fan wrote.
"The likes ratio DOES NOT match the views. YouTube obviously has been deleting views, they’re not even gonna hide it now??" another fan wrote.
"How many are there we have to fight for @YouTube kindly don't delete the views count and see the problem soon," another fan added.
Others accused the video streaming platform of allegedly sabotaging releases by BTS members as the band doesn't want to "pay for ads."
"Since bighit can't fix YT's robbery against bts and bts don't want to pay for ads so the only way for bts to reach a new peak on that damn app is by partnering with a global brand and release another "MV" for their new song on the brand's YT channel," one fan said.
"Another one, the original MV is trending within top 7 for the past days in my country, yet the views are not moving. While the ones trending below it has faster moving views. Why aren't those trending higher then?" another fan wrote.
"About to hit 2m likes but only 13m views??? I think bighit should actually do smth about this??" one other fan added.
