On October 4, 2024, the South Korean K-pop group 2NE1 kickstarted their much-anticipated Welcome Back concert tour in Olympic Hall, Seoul, South Korea.
Subsequently, multiple groups and idols, including Stray Kids, NewJeans, TWICE, aespa, Ive, BabyMonster, (G)I-DLE, IU, BOYNEXTDOOR, TREASURE, G-Dragon, Zico, and Kiss of Life sent congratulatory messages to the second generation girl group for their Welcome Back anniversary concert.
Multiple videos and pictures from the concert featuring K-pop groups congratulating 2NE1 circulated on social media. Naturally, the 2NE1 fans could not stop bragging about how idols from different generations showed their support for the girl group. Sharing this sentiment, an X user wrote:
"K-pop groups from all different generations in have all came together and sent messages for 2ne1’s comeback concert in seoul. THIS IS FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS 2NE1 YOURE INSANE."
"I think they will show other videos tomorrow and on Sunday. So happy for the love and support. Wish to see 2nd gen groups congratulations message to them," a fan shared.
"So so happy artists congratulated them like this. 2NE1 truly are the definition of Royalty in the industry,"- a fan mentioned.
Many fans also stated that they could not wait to see the future of the K-pop industry, where the artists could openly form friendships and have healthy competition. Meanwhile, some fans also hoped to see groups like BLACKPINK and BTS wishing the I Don't Care hitmakers.

Formed by YG Entertainment, the South Korean girl group remained active in the industry between 2009 and 2016. The band featured four members: CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy. The group is known for breaking stereotypes in fashion, music experimentation, remarkable stage presence, and more.

In recent news, the band has embarked on their fourth concert tour titled Welcome Back Tour to commemorate their 15th anniversary. It is the group's first concert tour since their All or Nothing World Tour held in 2014. The group will perform in Manila, Jakarta, Kobe, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Taipei, and other cities. Welcome Back Tour is slated to conclude on February 8, 2025.
