On October 19, 2024, all the BTS members earned nominations at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards. The Grammy-nominated K-pop boyband was nominated in the 'Popularity Award: Male Singer' category in the upcoming award ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on December 27, 2024.
Currently, five members (Namjoon, V, Jimin, Suga, and Jungkook) of the K-pop group are serving in the South Korean military, while Jin and j-hope were recently discharged. Furthermore, the performance lineup for the 2024 Asia Artist Awards includes LE SSERAFIM, EXO’s Suho, KISS OF LIFE, &TEAM, TWS, and WHIB.
Meanwhile, the Dynamite group's fandom rejoiced over the band earning a nod at one of the most prestigious Korean music award ceremonies. A fan wrote on X:

Others mentioned that the group deserved the nomination.

Band members Namjoon and Taehyung enlisted in the military on December 11, 2023, and following them, Jimin and Jungkook enlisted on December 12. Later, Taehyung was deployed to the Special Duty Team (SDT), a special forces division, in January 2024. He is the only band member to get enrolled in special forces.
Meanwhile, Suga enlisted for alternative military service on September 22, 2023. Suga opted to be a social service employee (alternative enlistment) due to his shoulder injury, hence, his enlistment period is 21 months, unlike the other members who have to serve for 18 months. The latest band member to have been officially discharged from the South Korean military on October 17, 2024, is j-hope.
Before him, Jin was officially discharged on June 12, 2024, following which he was selected as one of the esteemed torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics torch relay. He carried the Olympic Flame across the Louvre Pyramid on July 15, as part of the Summer Games' tradition.
Both Jin and j-hope have resumed their solo activities. While the rest of the members are scheduled to get discharged in June 2025.
In other news, Jin is set to release his debut solo album, Happy, on November 15, 2024. The pre-release track, I'll Be There, of the forthcoming album is going to be released on October 25. The upcoming album will include six tracks which will also feature collaborations from artists like Wendy of Red Velvet and more.
