ATEEZ's Wooyoung responded to his airport look showcasing an English slang going viral among fans and explained how he ended up wearing it. On January 16, 2025, ATEEZ members departed South Korea from Incheon International Airport to Paris, France, for their overseas event.

What caught fans’ attention was Wooyoung’s look as he donned a maroon sweater over black baggy jeans. The fit exuded casual college outfit vibes until fans saw what was written on the sweatshirt.

The text read:

“She’s got me by the balls.”

The look went viral on the internet as fans and K-pop stans could not stop talking about it. On January 21, 2025, Wooyoung took to Bubble Pop Live to address the incident. He revealed that he wore it after his agency's Global Marketing Manager told him about it.

Furthermore, he stated he only wore it because of its design.

“Do you think I would've worn this if I knew that?” the artist said.

This has left fans in splits as they took to X to share some hilarious reactions to Wooyoung's outfit mishap.

“THIS IS TAKING ME OUTTTT,” a fan said.
“this is taking me out because english isnt my first language, years ago I thought balls only meant the ball you play football and basketball with. I discovered later that it means THAT part of the body too. Its probably the same case for wooyoung too JAJAJHAGAK,” a fan added.
“'do you think i would've worn it if i knew' meanwhile basically everyone immediately assumed he knew exactly what it said with no hesitation,” a user said.

Other netizens also found the incident funny while some fans playfully stated that the Global Marketing Manager set him up.

“I’m not even in this fandom and this has been the f*cking funniest thing to follow. Like truly a beacon of light during trying times,” a netizen commented.
“The Global Marketing Manager saw a chance for hit tweets and took it. Respect,” a fan added.
“Some of you are commenting on his english… his English is good. He probably just didn’t think twice or probably didn’t take the time to really read it. I've done it before,.” another user commented.

Furthermore, fans found it hilarious that ATEEZ's Leader Hongjoong, who speaks English, didn't point it out to Wooyoung.

“What's killing me is that i know hongjoong could read that sweater and he didnt say anyhringgkjdhejidb,” a fan wrote.
“He actually sends me but what’s funnier is how did no other member say anything like ONE of them could’ve noticed right? ESPECIALLY HONGJOONG,” a user said.
“Damn I really thought he knew enough English to be able to read it and that he just dgaf,” another user added.

ATEEZ's Wooyoung returns to group activities after a short break due to health issues

On January 8, 2025, KQ Entertainment, ATEEZ's management company, issued an official statement regarding Wooyoung's health update. The agency stated that he could not participate in the Japan event that day due to symptoms of a cold.

They added that he would take a break for a few days till January 18 before returning to group activities. On January 18, 2025, Wooyoung, alongside his fellow ATEEZ members, kickstarted their 2025 European world tour TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER.

They performed a show in Lyon, France, and Milan, Italy, on January 18 and 20, respectively. The group is set to perform in other cities like Zurich, London, Manchester, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Cologne, Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris, and Brussels as a part of their European world tour.
