BLACKPINK's Lisa's new ambassadorship with Louis Vuitton
BLACKPINK's Lisa was introduced as the newest Louis Vuitton House Ambassador on July 23, as much-welcome news to fans anticipating an upcoming partnership for months. Before the collaboration was revealed, Lisa was spotted carrying handbags and donning fits from the brand on several occasions.
The speculations ran further amuck when on March 5, Lisa attended Louis Vuitton's FW24 Womenswear fashion show in Paris. She posed with French-Belgian fashion designer and the brand's Artistic Director for Women's Collections Nicolas Ghesquière, further hinting at the then undeclared ambassadorship.
At the same time, Nicolas Ghesquière also began following her on Instagram and commented on her photo, raising further curiosity.
Being officially named the new House Ambassador, Lisa of BLACKPINK joined previously introduced ambassadors like BTS' j-hope, Stray Kids' Felix, etc. In the formal announcement post on Instagram, the premium fashion label expressed how Lisa epitomized Louis Vuitton's artistic values and vision.
"Lisa for Louis Vuitton. The Maison and @NicolasGhesquiere are pleased to welcome the global music superstar and style icon as the newest House Ambassador, embodying shared values in excellence, culture, and craft," the Instagram post read.
A little over a month after this partnership, the 27-year-old artist is now starring on four unique covers for Vogue Korea's October 2024 issue, decked up in Louis Vuitton's lavish attires.
The first of these covers shared on Instagram on September 9, ushers in a new era with a new woman, alluding to the BLACKPINK member as "the ultimate icon." One Instagram post caption reads:
"A new era, a new woman, a new self – thus, Lisa. The pinnacle of a diva, the ultimate icon. At the end of the world, Lisa opens Vogue's October edition."
The second set of pictures rolled out simultaneously comes with the caption,
"The moment when Lisa looks at us. A fleeting instant when time comes to a stop, and only Lisa appears to move – the beginning of Vogue's October issue."
The third Instagram post reads:
"Lisa’s most natural attitude towards Louis Vuitton. Wearing Louis Vuitton's 24 FW collection, reinterpreted from the past 10 years of archives by Nicolas Ghesquière, she breathes new energy into it."
Furthermore, the BLACKPINK member also recently starred on the cover of Vogue Japan for its October 2024 issue.
In other news, BLACKPINK's Lisa has lately been garnering much love for launching new music under her independent label LLOUD. Marking her first release under the LLOUD and RCA Records since parting ways with YG Entertainment.
Lisa released her single Rockstar on June 28 this year. She recently brought out New Woman (feat. ROSALÍA) on August 16.
