Park Jimin of BTS released his second solo album, MUSE, via BIGHIT MUSIC on July 19, 2024, which consists of seven songs. The title track, WHO, amassed over 3 million views on YouTube within 3 hours of its release. Furthermore, a fan's YouTube channel, interAsia, uploaded the unboxing video of the official MUSE (Blooming Version) album set on July 19.

In the album lyric book, the Be Mine singer-songwriter left a heartfelt message for ARMY. He started by mentioning MUSE as his "last album" before his enlistment and recalled the tough process of creating and recording the album. The WHO singer-songwriter thanked his fans for supporting him over the years and assured them that he would be back soon.

"This is my last album before I go to the army. The preparation process was not easy, so I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at the company and the directors who helped me even more. I was truly grateful to be able to work with cool people, and if I can continue to work with cool people after I come back, I'm sure there's nothing happier than that. Jimin opened up about going through several emotions while writing and composing the tracks for MUSE. He continued to say in his letter that he wanted to share those emotions and experiences with the ARMY in hopes that they would leave their regrets behind and experience more happiness in their lives.

This album contains a lot of emotions that I've been going through a lot these days, and I want to feel the emotions that I've experienced with you again. The BTS singer concluded his letter by promising his fans to write even better songs and deliver great performances. Jimin expressed his gratitude towards the fandom for loving BTS and the members, which has helped inspire the seven to create good music.

In other news, MUSE reached #1 on US iTunes in 2024, making Jimin the first K-Pop artist to have multiple albums achieve this feat. Earlier, he did it with his debut solo album, FACE, released on March 24, 2023.
