BLACKPINK's Lisa rolls out the music video teaser for her upcoming solo track, ROCKSTAR

Following the announcement of her solo single release, ROCKSTAR, BLACKPINK's Lisa released the music video's teaser on June 26, exciting fans on what her comeback has in store for them.

YG Entertainment and the BLACKPINK members parted ways for their solo projects and promotions. Following the same, LISA then established her label, LLOUD, and signed with RCA Records for international promotions and projects. The upcoming track, therefore, will be a collaborative release through both these labels.

Given that this upcoming track marks Lisa's first release as an independent artist, fans have been quite excited about the same. Apart from her filming at the busy Chinatown street of Bangkok, fans also noticed the specific location in which she shot the ROCKSTAR music video.

It was an abandoned departmental store, and a tattoo parlor called The New World Department Store. Netizens explained that the store was at the corner of Bang Lamphu Intersection. The president of THAINO13’s group and Harley-Davidson Thailand, Chayangkul Arttanasiri, was invited to watch the filming of the ROCKSTAR music video.

Netizens also speculated that her decision to shoot in Thailand with the hassle and expense of shutting down busy streets might be because she intends to contribute to the country's tourism. While the music video could be shot cost-effectively and conveniently using a green screen and other technological implements, fans praised the idol for not forgetting her roots and giving back to the same.

The official music video for ROCKSTAR is to be released this Friday, June 28 at 7 AM, Thailand time.
