On Saturday, May 25, NCT's Doyoung rolled out the first concert of his solo tour, Dear Youth. During the concert, the idol not only performed tracks from his recently released solo debut album, YOUTH but also included songs released by NCT. However, during one of the breaks in the concert, a VCR was played while the idol went backstage to change and touch up.

However, fans didn't expect the VCR that was played. The idol had dressed in street-style clothing and was seen rapping to several rap verses from NCT songs such as Cherry Bomb, Misfit, Skyscraper, and Kick It. Given that this was completely unexpected from the group's main vocalist, both fans and Doyoung's fellow NCT members were shocked by the VCR.

Regardless, they were impressed at his rap. To comment on the same, the main rapper of NCT, Mark, took to his Weverse account and stated that he was quite impressed with his rap VCR. Additionally, he also stated that Doyoung's rap game got him nervous. Here's what the idol wrote in his Weverse post:

"Kim Doyoung what's with the rap? This has me nervous! Congrats on your solo concert!"

On April 22, Doyoung released his first solo album, YOUTH, consisting of ten songs, which held its title track as Little Light. Given that the idol has cemented himself as a renowned vocalist in the industry, fans were excited about his album, and the release appeared to have lived up to the same.

The idol's solo projects did not stop after the release of his album. He soon announced his Asia Tour, which is expected to make several stops including Jakarta, Bangkok, Osaka, Hong Kong, etc. To kickstart his Asia tour, the idol held a three-day concert in Seoul from May 25 to May 27, and fans were left surprised by the turn of events at the concert.

During concerts, artists often play VCRs to keep the crowd entertained when the K-pop idols go backstage to get changed into another outfit, have their makeup retouched, and the like. While the VCRs are often about the album or behind-the-scenes of the album creation, Doyoung had a unique take on the same.

He released a VCR titled DY Track, which aims to imitate NCT Taeyoung's solo concert title, TY Track. In the VCR, he was seen performing the rap verses of several NCT songs, which left the crowd utterly shocked. Since several NCT members were also present in the audience to witness the idol's solo tour embarkation, they were even taken aback by his sudden and unexpected rap performance.

Regardless, both fans and fellow members began to bop to the VCR and commended him for his performance. Naturally, the video also had the actual rappers of NCT talking, especially Mark. He not only jokingly commented on the VCR stating that Doyoung's performance left him nervous, but also congratulated him on inaugurating his first solo tour.
