"This is so seungryu coded" — Fans gush over Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min reuniting for an ELLE shoot to promote 'Love Next Door'

On August 26, 2024, ELLE KOREA released the interview clip of Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min, who are starring in Netflix's latest drama Love Next Door. The video titled "These two... are dating? #MotherFriendSon Jung So-min and Jung Hae-in's amazing chemistry," showed the two South Korean actors talking about their ongoing K-drama, changing contact names on each other's phones, and more.

In the ELLE video, Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min played a game of "Chemistry Workshop" where they had to answer questions about each other and also chose from multiple-choice questions to show their chemistry. However, after hilariously struggling to get their answers to match one another's, Jung Hae-in gave up. He simply started by copying So-min's answer and cracking jokes.

During one such question, ELLE asked the actors to swap their phones and change their contact names saved in the other's phone. So-min changed her name to "Pretty To-min" on Hae-in's phone, while Hae-in saved his number as "Haein Oppa" on So-min's mobile. The clip went viral online, and one fan wrote on X,

"This is so seungryu coded i cant."

Others joked about the duo's chaotic and funny equation with how So-min's contact name stunned Hae-in.

"Haein saved his number on somin's phone as "haein oppa" BAHAHAHASHFDFH THEY LOOK SO FAWKIN CUTE COPYING THE EMOJI," one fan wrote.

"I never seen Haein before happily laughing like this with his female lead. He has so much fun when Somin is around," another fan noted.

Fans also noted how Hae-in hilariously started translating into English for So-min to understand the questions. Others lauded the duo's friendship.

Love Next Door episodes 3 & 4 reveal Seung-hyo's old feelings for Seok-ryu

Love Next Door episodes 3 and 4 were released on Netflix on August 24 and 25, 2024. Jung Hae-in plays Choi Seung-hyo, a successful and award-winning architect and CEO of Atelierin, while Jung So-min plays Baek Seok-ryu.

Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu are childhood friends since their mothers are friends as well and their houses are beside one another. In the latest episodes of Love Next Door, Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo go back to their high school and try to dig out the time capsule they had buried in the school's backyard 15 years ago.

Seung-hyo finds the time capsule first and reads Seok-ryu's letter. Later, he reads his own handwritten letter from the past and is stunned to see his younger self write about his feelings for Seok-ryu.

Later, in Love Next Door episode 4, Seung-hyo gets an offer from Greip to bid for the development of its Seoul headquarters. Seok-ryu helps Seung-hyo with his meeting with an executive of Greip since she knows English and is a former Greip employee.

However, during their in-person meeting, Seok-ryu comes across an old colleague and gets reminded of her past suffering in the company. Seung-hyo is about to hit Seok-ryu's old colleague (Chris) for harassing her, but she stops him. However, she ends up punching him and warns him to never mess with Seung-hyo's company.

Love Next Door episode 4 ends with Seung-hyo's feelings for Seok-ryu getting rekindled after this as she hugs him.
