BTS’ Jimin has been selected as a Music Platinum Player by the American magazine outlet The Hollywood Reporter, for his solo music releases in 2024. Jimin, who has been serving in the military since December 2023, released his second solo album MUSE in July 2024, receiving appreciation from fans and listeners.

The magazine outlet unveiled the list of 25 artists who have made a cultural impact through their music. Jimin was named among renowned artists like Stray Kids, EMINEM, Chappell Roan, Beyoncé, Post Malone, SZA, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and many more.

They highlighted that the K-pop boy group BTS has been on hiatus due to their national duties and military commitments, however, the members' solo music releases have not failed to leave an impression on international music charts.

As the 2024 Platinum Music Players list started to make circles on social media, fans swelled in pride with Jimin's name alongside big names. They shared their thoughts and celebrated this significant moment on X.

"History maker and successful king. I'm so proud to stan the most versatile k-pop artist ever," a fan stated.
"So proud of Jimin and his organic praises and recognitions. Our talented Jimin is the only Asian soloist on the list!" another user wrote.

Fans also mentioned how they enjoyed listening to Jimin's solo music, stating it deserves recognition.

"Idk if It's just me, bt jimin's song give me sense of content. I can listen to it when it's raining and nothing going on with time. I can listen to it when i am working. His songs are timeless for me," a fan commented.

BTS’ Jimin marked his solo debut in March 2023 with the album FACE, making a comeback with his second album, titled MUSE, on July 19, 2024. The album consisted of seven songs—Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band featuring South Korean rapper Loco, Slow Dance featuring Sofia Carson, Be Mine, Who (title track), and Closer Than This.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, the BTS vocalist is credited as the composer and songwriter in six out of seven songs on the album. The album peaked at number two, one spot behind Stray Kids on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Notably, this was the first time two K-pop albums ranked in the top 2 of the chart. MUSE's title track Who debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and Billboard Global 200 chart.


Besides this, Jimin's MUSE has also surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making him the first K-pop solo artist to have two albums reach this significant milestone.
