BTS' Jin represents South Korea at the 2024 Paris Olympics for the Torch Relay

On July 14, ahead of the official kickstart of the 2024 Paris Olympics, BTS' Jin carried the torch representing his country, South Korea, for the Torch Relay. Annually, all the participating countries participate in the Torch Relay, where the country's representative runs the relay carrying the Olympic Torch.

This year, Jin represented the South Korean team and carried the torch at the Pyramid of the Louvre Museum. The day also coincided with Bastille Day, otherwise known as the National Day of France. Following the same, fans were quite proud of the BTS members' recognition and participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

It was also revealed, according to Times Entertainment, that the idol was endorsed by Samsung Electronics for his position as a torchbearer. Samsung Electronics stands as a key sponsor of this year's Summer Olympics. Here's what Samsung said about the reason behind Jin's selection as South Korea's torchbearer:

"They recommended Jin, Samsung's public relations ambassador, as he had been active in a spirit that fits that of the Olympics."

On the other hand, BTS' leader, RM, currently serving in the military, also came across the news about the group's mention at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He posted about the mention on his personal Instagram story.
