No Gain No Love is an upcoming Korean rom-com drama which is all set to premiere worldwide on Amazon Prime on August 26, 2024. New episodes will be released every week on Mondays and Tuesdays starting in late August. The series is airing in Korea on tvN and the regional streaming service TVING.
The drama centres on Hae-yeong (Shin Min-ah), who arranges a fake marriage with Kim Ji-uk (Kim Young-dae), a clerk at her neighbourhood convenience store, to avoid losing out on a promotion. Kim Ji-uk works night shifts at a convenience shop and is well-known as a wonderful neighbour. He accepts Hae-yeong's offer to play her pretend husband at her fictional wedding.
The series is directed by Kim Jung-sik, who has previously worked on popular K-dramas such as Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon and Work Later, Drink Now. Kim Hye-young, who previously contributed to Her Private Life, is the writer of the series.

No Gain No Love: Plot and Cast
In the plot of No Gain No Love, Son Hae-young is the kind of person who, in any case, prefers not to lose money. She had to share her mother's love with others as she grew older. Her break-even point was frequently reached in relationships with her partners. Son Hae-young may now lose out on a career promotion at her place of employment.
She arranges for a fictitious wedding to prevent such a loss. She enlists Kim Ji-wook as her fiancé. Kim Ji-wook is employed part-time at a convenience shop as a cashier. He is the kind of person who strives to do the right thing and cannot overlook those in need. Except for one customer, he gets along well with everyone at the convenience shop.
After a break of two years, Shin Min-ah is returning to dramas with No Gain No Love. She has starred in several well-known rom-coms, including Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Oh My Venus, and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. Her most recent drama was the blockbuster success, Our Blues.
Kim Young-dae, who portrays Kim Ji-wook in the drama, is known for dramas like Extraordinary You, The Penthouse: War in Life and Shooting Stars.
No Gain No Love also stars Han Ji-hyeon as Nam Ja-yeon, a well-known R-rated web novel writer who is Hae-yeong's friend and roommate, and Lee Sang-yi as third-generation "chaebol" Bok Gyu-hyun, the CEO of the company where Hae-yeong works.
How are the characters related?
Shin Min-ah and Kim Young-dae are the main couple in No Gain No Love who will get entangled with each other due to a fake marriage. Han Ji-hyun and Lee Sang-yi, among other cast members, will have intriguing parts in this drama.
The CEO of Ha-young's company, Bok Gyu-hyun, is portrayed by Lee Sang-yi. He does not believe in fate or romantic fairytales. He gets involved with Yeon Bora, a stage name for web novel writer Nam Ja-yeon, and Han Ji-hyun portrays her character. Nam Ja-yeon writes mainly about love. In addition to being Ha-Young's roommate, Ja-yeon is closer to family than she is to friends.
In No Gain No Love, Kwon Yi-rin, a human resources worker who works for the same educational organization as Son Hae-young, is portrayed by Jeon Hye-won. Lee You-jin will portray Bok Gyu-hyeon's secretary, Yeo Ha-jun.
