On September 9, 2024, BigHit Music shared an article from the South Korean media outlet StarNews through their official X account, announcing the release of TXT's Yeonjun's upcoming debut solo mixtape GGUM. According to the agency, Yeonjun will unveil GGUM on September 19, 2024, at 6 pm KST (Korean Standard Time).

BigHit Music unveiled the four images for TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun's 'concept photo 1' for his upcoming debut solo mixtape GGUM. The latest still cuts provided a glimpse of the bold and daring side of the artist. In the first still cut, he is sitting on a chair with his legs placed on a table, showcasing his branded shoes.
The idol donned a black jacket styled with a white shirt that complimented his deep red hair. In a concept photo, shared by BigHit Music, Yeonjun is gazing intently into the camera and blowing bubble gum. Another photo is a close-up shot featuring Yeonjun blowing pink bubblegum.
A few photos show the idol posing with a steel box. Apart from his dark-themed ensemble, other concept photos present Yeonjun in a Y2K-themed colorful outfit. His look is enhanced by heavy accessorizing that includes a stack of necklaces, earrings, and multiple belts.
