On September 6, 2024, the Korean media outlet TV Report stated that Tomorrow X Together (TXT) member Yeonjun would make his solo debut in September 2024. He will be the TXT member to launch a solo career.
A Big Hit Music official confirmed the news to Dispatch on the same day with the statement:
"Yeonjun is currently preparing to release a solo song. We plan to officially announce the specific schedule, such as the release date later."
The confirmation of TXT Yeonjun's solo debut comes after his appearance on BTS' Jin's variety show Run Jin on September 3, 2024. There, he disclosed that he was currently preparing for his solo debut. However, the other details were censored to prevent further spoilers.
The singer is known for being an all-rounder who excels at singing, dancing, and rapping. He also writes lyrics and composes music. He has garnered a massive following on social media due to his dance challenges with other K-pop groups, especially girl groups. He recently sang the OST titled Boyfriend for the Coupang Play series Cindrella at 2 AM.

As a writer and composer, he has contributed to multiple albums, including The Dream Chapter: Eternity, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, and The Name Chapter: Freefall. On May 31, 2024, the 24-year-old singer was announced as the global ambassador for the Italian luxury brand Moncler.

The Boyfriend singer is currently touring with his group in support of their 2024 extended play Minisode 3: Tomorrow. The tour began with three shows on May 3-5, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea. As of now, they have covered four countries, including eight cities in the United States, Macau (China), and three cities in Japan. The group had their first-ever concert at Tokyo Dome.
TXT is scheduled to perform in Singapore on September 7, 2024, and will then perform two shows in Japan and then visit Jakarta and Taipei. As of now, 31 shows have been announced. Their third world tour, Act: Promise, is scheduled to conclude in Seoul in November.
