BTS' Jimin's WHO becomes the longest-running No. 1 track by a K-pop soloist on the Billboard Global 200

On August 6, 2024, Jimin clinched another feat as WHO became the longest-running track at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. It became the first track by a K-solo act in 2024 to have earned this milestone.

Jimin mentioned in his 'MUSE' Recording Behind that he wrote this song to capture how he is trying to find his soulmate amidst millions of people. He shared his thoughts with the American Grammy-winning musician, Jon Bellion, and elaborated that he doesn't want WHO to sound depressive or intense.

With the hook, "Who is my heart waiting for?" serving as the song's central theme, Jimin delivered a chart-topping song that climbed the top of Spotify's Global Daily Top Songs Chart as well.

Furthermore, the album was pre-recorded by the BTS idol ahead of his military enlistment. The MUSE singer-songwriter enlisted in the military on December 12, 2023, and will be discharged in June 2025. His album release and promotion were taken care of by HYBE and Universal Music Group (UMG).

The Billboard Hot 100 ranks singles based on US sales, airplay, downloads, and streaming. The Billboard 200 ranks albums similarly within the US. The Billboard World Album chart ranks albums based on global streams and downloads, while the Billboard Global 200 does the same for songs.
