BigHit Music, the entertainment company representing BTS, has addressed Jungkook's recent social media posts, which many believed were linked to the controversy surrounding NewJeans. This came after the BTS star's own statement from a couple of hours ago, stating that his intent was to express that young artists should not be used as shields.

The news was first reported by MyDaily's Lee Seung-gil via Naver. On September 14, 2024, Jungkook made two Instagram posts through his pet dog Bam's account, which quickly caught fans' attention. Many speculated that the posts were in response to the ongoing situation involving NewJeans and their former ADOR CEO, Min Hee-jin.

The captions sparked buzz among fans, with many interpreting the posts as a show of support for the junior group during a turbulent time. While some fans were initially shocked, with a few even wondering if the account had been hacked, BigHit swiftly confirmed that the posts were indeed made by Jungkook himself.

In their official statement, BigHit explained the singer's intentions, saying:

"Under no circumstances should a young artist be dragged."

Fans, once reassured, expressed surprise and admiration for the idol's willingness to publicly stand behind his fellow artists.

BTS' Jungkook takes stand for NewJeans

On September 14, BTS' Jungkook subtly showed his support for NewJeans amid ongoing controversy by sharing two posts through his pet Bam’s Instagram account. One post featured the caption "Artists are not guilty," followed by five heart emojis in different colors, which fans interpreted as representing each member of NewJeans.

The blue heart was linked to Minji, pink to Hanni, yellow to Danielle, green to Haerin, and purple to Hyein. Another post showed a front-facing picture of Bam with the caption, "Don’t use them."

These posts quickly sparked confusion and curiosity among fans, as many wondered why Jungkook had made such statements. In response, BigHit Music released a statement to MyDaily, clarifying that the BTS star's posts were made

"We have confirmed that it was posted with the thought that under no circumstances should a young artist be dragged into a dispute and used as a shield."

This statement indicated that he was expressing concern about the reported mistreatment of NewJeans by the new management at ADOR, their agency.

The GOLDEN artist's stance seemed to reflect his belief that young artists should not be caught in the middle of corporate disputes or be used as tools to voice a company's opinions. The controversy arose after ADOR's former CEO, Min Hee-jin, who played a significant role in NewJeans' success, was removed from her position on August 27.

Following her removal, NewJeans held an emergency live broadcast on September 11, where they publicly criticized HYBE, ADOR's parent company. The group demanded that HYBE restore ADOR to its original state and reinstate Min Hee-jin as CEO by September 25. In response, HYBE's new CEO, Lee Jae-sang, stated that the company would address the matter in accordance with its policies and address the situation calmly.
