BTS' Suga and SEVENTEEN's Vernon reportedly made appearances in Anderson .Paak's film, K-Pops. The world premiere of the film took place at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024. The two-hour film tells the story of bringing people and cultures together via entertainment.

K-Pops is a comedy-musical that tells the story of struggling musician BJ (Anderson .Paak), who tries to revive his career by joining the house band of a K-pop competition program in South Korea. Unexpectedly, he discovers that his long-lost son Tae Young (Rasheed), is a contestant vying for global superstardom.

Fans of both music and film were thrilled by the all-star cameos, including SEVENTEEN's Vernon, actor-rapper Jonnie "Dumbfoundead" Park, former member of U-KISS Kevin Woo, Community star Yvette Nicole Brown, and Paak's son, Soul Rasheed.

While BTS' Suga reportedly collaborated with Anderson .Paak on a song for K-Pops, it remains unclear if the BTS rapper made an on-screen cameo. Other Korean artists like Jessi, G-DRAGON, and The Rose also collaborated on the project. In an interview with Billboard published on September 9, 2024, Anderson .Paak said:

"I also had the opportunity to work with iconic K-pop artists that I’ve been looking to collaborate with for years like Suga from BTS, Vernon from SEVENTEEN, Crush, The Rose, Jessi and G-Dragon."

He continued:

"The fact that I get to do these collaborations in my directorial debut and bring these idols and artists into the world of K-Pops just brings a whole new level of excitement to the project."

As the news of K-pop stars' appearance went viral, fans flooded social media and expressed their excitement. One fan wrote on X:

"VERNON AND YOONGI IN THE SAME MOVIE? HELLO!!!!!!"

Several BTS fans speculated that Suga must have worked on K-Pops when he filmed his solo documentary film, Road to D-Day, in 2022. The documentary film featured cameo appearances from Anderson .Paak and Halsey.

"Look I knew about Vernon being featured, and I was surprised there was no mention of Yoongi given that they met for the Riad to D-Day docu, but omg?" one fan wrote.
"Now makes sense that they were working when Yoongi filmed his doc," another fan added.
"YOONGI VERNON THE ROSE - ITS LIKE HE STOLE ALL MY BIASES," one other fan said.

Meanwhile, Vernon's fans were over the moon to get the confirmation of his acting debut in K-Pops.

"That’s amazing! Can’t wait to see Suga and Anderson Paak collaborate—this is going to be epic!" one fan said enthusiastically.
"I LOVE A VERNON PRAISE SO MUCH. Vernon is indeed a very talented, all rounder and incredible artist! I can't wait to see hus debut screen as an actor!" another fan wrote.
"WFinally!! I've been waiting to hear more about this. Also may this be the first step to Vernon's been casted in some Netflix show/movie preferably where he can be the narrator so the whole world can fall in love with his captivating voice," one other added.
