BTS’ Jin and Red Velvet’s Wendy united for a heartfelt collaboration on the song, Heart on the Window, a standout track from the BTS idol's debut solo album, Happy. On December 12, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped the behind-the-scenes footage video of BTS' Jin and Red Velvet's Wendy's live performance.
The Grammy-nominated artist and Wendy performed Heart on the Window, live for the first time at Jin's Happy Special Stage in Seoul on November 17, 2024. Their seamless vocal harmony captivated the audience, while their interaction at the end of the performance struck a chord with fans.
In the latest behind-the-scenes video, the BTS idol carried flowers to wish Wendy ahead of their performance. Jin, known for his shyness, left his fans in stitches as the artist got extremely nervous and awkward around Wendy and clumsily handed her the bouquet. In return, Wendy gave him a bag full of curated bread.
This thoughtful and warm interaction symbolized a senior-junior dynamic filled with respect and kindness, delighted their fans and the clip went viral online. One fan wrote on X:
"Jin is a shy man. His face, neck and ears turn all red. He even stutters. This shyness makes him more endearing. He uses “world wide handsome” description of himself merely as a self deprecating joke. He is very much a gentleman."
Jin’s thoughtful gesture toward Wendy sparked conversations about how collaborations can bridge the gap between different fandoms and generations in K-pop. Fans wrote that they wish that the two K-pop idols could become friends in real life.
"I hope they became good friends after this. Jin's been open about not having that many celebrity friends. So I hope he gets more close friends." one fan wrote.
"Isn't this the first time we are watching a bts member giving flowers to a woman? AND why this is making me happy," another fan wrote.
"If the two of them came to be a couple I would thank the heavens for 100 days straight because she's amazing." another fan joked.
Others joked about how the BTS idol got hilariously awkward and nervous over interacting with a female idol.
"Marry me. I don’t know if I’m asking Jin or Wendy. Maybe both. But marry me." one fan commented.
"I THOUGHT IM THE MOST AWKWARD PERSON BUT AFTER LOOKING AT JIN MY ONION CHANGED," another fan wrote.
"THANK YOU KING JIN FOR BRINGING HER FLOWERS THAT'S SO NICE. She notoriously loves flowers so!!!! And ofc she's like a moving bakery istg she never fails to turn up with some food," one other fan added.
