On June 11, 2024, the South Korean media outlet Major News reported that several drama and film production companies have been showing great interest in casting BTS' Jin in their upcoming projects. As per the outlet, several drama and film production companies have been inquiring with the agency about the Moon singer's interest in acting for a long time.
It is interesting to note that the idol has a degree in Film Studies with which he graduated from Konkuk University in February 2017. Bighit Music released a statement addressing reports that BTS members would reunite to celebrate Jin's discharge day
On June 10, Big Hit Music responded to the reports regarding BTS members taking leave to celebrate the idol's discharge. They released a statement to the South Korean media outlet Newsen, saying, "It is difficult to confirm."
On the same day, Dispatch reported that the six members of the group, Kim Namjoon, Suga, j-hope, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jungkook, would gather on the singer's discharge date, June 12, 2024, somewhere in Seoul, South Korea to commemorate the completion of his mandatory conscription.
They stated that the members had applied for leave from their military units and the date coincided with the Moon singer's return to the entertainment industry. It has also been reported that no official discharge ceremony or a separate event will be organized by BigHit Music to prevent overcrowding and unfortunate accidents outside the unit.
Bighit Music also shared a press release on the South Korean social media platform Weverse, informing fans about his military discharge.
"We are excited to bring you the news of Jin's upcoming military discharge. The singer is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged," they said.
