The South Korean singer, actress, and rapper is part of the girl group TWICE and is associated with agencies, including JYP Entertainment, Warner Japan, and Republic Records. She has been active in the industry since 2015.

The female artist was recruited as a trainee for JYP Entertainment after a talent scout witnessed her performance at a dance festival. Subsequently, she trained for three years. In 2015, she participated in a reality television series, Sixteen, where she competed to join JYP Entertainment's new girl group.
