On July 24, 2024, BTS' Min Yoongi, aka SUGA, made headlines as news of him attending the VIP screening of Jo Jung Suk's latest movie, Pilot, went viral online. According to @army_bts_do8es, who first shared a photo of him on X, the Life Goes On rapper-songwriter was allegedly spotted with his bodyguard at the VIP screening in Seoul on July 23.
Jo Jung-suk's new film Pilot is scheduled for release in South Korea on July 31, 2024.
Some fans were thrilled to see him again after last seeing a picture of him with his bandmates on the day BTS Jin was discharged from the military (June 12, 2024). One fan expressed their happiness on X and wrote,
"We finally saw Yoongi..!!!"
Several BTS ARMY were comforted to come across the picture since BTS SUGA hasn't shared any pictures of himself since enlisting on September 22, 2023.
"I was in such a bad mood but just seeing my baby boy finally made my face lit up I missed him so much my comfort," one fan wrote.
"IS THIS REAL DONT PLAY WITH MY HEART. GOD I MISS MY YOONGI SO MUCH," another fan said.
"THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE ARE SEEING HIM SINCE HE ENLISTED," one other fan added.
However, few wanted the post to be deleted and urged others to respect the idol's privacy despite being equally happy to see his new picture.
"You don't lift a finger to promote streaming for yoongi, but you are the first to spread this type of leaked content which was clearly taken in his personal time and without his consent, yall should respect his privacy," another fan wrote.
"As usual those who barely support Yoongi's music always use him for clout. You wont see this pic posted, liked, RTed by Suga fanbases bcoz we respect Yoongi's privacy He kept his life private n everyone surround him respect that but how do you think its ok to repost this ???" one fan added.
"Please delete this, it was taken unofficially without his consent," another fan said.
More about BTS SUGA's recent activities
BTS SUGA enlisted in the South Korean military as a Grade-4 recruit due to his shoulder injury. According to the country's military rules, individuals with minor impairments or physical injuries are considered suitable for providing supplementary duty for civilians.
