All you need to know about the rookie K-pop girl group, BABYMONSTER, and BLACKPINK's Jennie

BABYMONSTER, alternatively referred to as BAEMON, is a K-pop girl group that debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2024. It consists of seven members in total, namely, Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita.

They released their first single, BATTER UP, excluding Ahyeon in November 2023 as a pre-debut release. However, they returned as a seven-piece group for their official debut in April 2024 with the release of this first EP, BABYMONS7ER.

Following their debut, the group has rolled out several other tracks like SHEESH, FOREVER, and Stuck In The Middle.

BLACKPINK's Jennie, on the other hand, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actress. The idol debuted with her fellow BLACKPINK members under YG Entertainment in 2016.

While the group became the most popular K-pop girl group in the industry, the members decided to cut their ties with YG Entertainment.

Though the members are not signed with YG Entertainment for their activities as solo artist, their contract as BLACKPINK members still stays intact. Jennie kickstarted her label, Odd Atelier, in November 2023.

Additionally, she has also recently signed with Columbia Records for her schedules and promotions as a soloist.

The idol is expected to roll out her comeback under the new label, titled, Mantra, which is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2024.
